Child Safety Program


Every second year, all classes at Mount Gravatt State School participate in the Daniel Morcombe Child Safety Program.   These lessons will occur in term three this year as part of our Health program.

This program teaches students about personal safety and awareness, including cybersafety and phone safety, by focusing on three key safety messages:   Recognise, React and Report.

The curriculum was developed by the Department of Education and training in consultation with Bruce and Denise Morcombe, the (former) Commissioner for Children and Young People and Child Guardian, representatives from Queensland Police Service and other experts in child safety education.
