Behaviour management

Mount Gravatt State School has high expectations for appropriate behaviour.  Our school is part of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support program (SWPBS) which clearly states expectations, teaches social skills and rewards positive behaviour.  SWPBS has had an extremely positive influence on our school, with significant numbers of students receiving their silver or gold awards and students being able to articulate and put into practice our three school expectations:

Be Safe

Be Responsible

Be Respectful.

Please see our Responsible Behaviour Plan (pdf, 269KB) for more information.

Bullying is not tolerated at Mount Gravatt State School.  School staff work together with families and children to teach appropriate behaviour and respond to reports of bullying.  Our response to bullying is detailed in the Responsible Behaviour Plan.

It is important that students and parents report bullying promptly so that we can intervene early and help solve problems.
